Jill Rumbley Beam

Jill Beam is employed with the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department and she has been with the City since 1972. She is currently the Events and Reservations Manager.


Jill graduated from East Texas State University with a degree in Education. Jill started dancing at age 3 and has taught dance at several dance studios and taught dance at Sidney Lanier, the DISD elementary school specializing in the arts. Jill became a Jazzercise Instructor in 1980 and has been teaching for 30 years. She was a Jazzercise Trainer for 8 years.


Jill also enjoys playing the flute and plays in the Mesquite Symphonic Band. Jill also “parades” with the Dallas Tap Dazzlers. Jill has performed for several civic organizations and clubs. Jill is a member of several professional organizations to include Texas Recreation and Park Society, National Recreation and Park Society, Southwest Park and Recreation Training Institute, and the American Association of University Women.
She has held many offices in these organizations.


Jill's claim to fame is being the wife of Ken Beam and the daughter of Jack and Rose-Mary Rumbley.  Jill is also the "GG" (gogrgeous grandma) to 3 precious grandchildren!!
