Trella Hart (Special Guest Star) Club singer, jazz vocalist and cabaret personality, Trella has sung professionally since the age of 5 when she traveled with her family, The Hart Family Singers, in and around the Chicago area. After attending college, she worked all over the U.S. as a soloist with bands such as the Billy May Band, Ralph Marterie and Don Jacoby. She has been a headliner in clubs from coast to coast including Mr. Kelly’s, the Palmer House in Chicago, the Riviera, Sahara and MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and in recent years at the Mansion on Turtle Creek and the Loews Anatole Hotel, both in Dallas, TX. She has appeared in clubs with such artists as Dave Brubeck, Al Hirt and Carmen McRae.
Over the years, Trella has recorded for Capital Records and appeared on various labels with such artists as Doc Severinsen, John Gary, Dotty West, Boots Randolph and Liza Minnelli. Additionally, Trella has recorded, with Essence Music her album “Trella, for all Times.” In addition to a wide array of stage productions, national radio and TV commercials and major industrial shows, Trella has won scores of awards including both Addy’s and Clio’s for writing and performance. Trella’s most recent New York appearance was at the 92 nd Street Y series “Lyrics and Lyricists” where she performed classic Dorothy Fields numbers.
