Bill Kennedy

 

Bill started singing non-stop at the young age of three and won many local kiddie contests. He began his career as soloist with the world renowned Apollo Boys Choir. He was a winner on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts and became a regular on Art's CBS-TV Show.

Bill headlined the grand opening of 3525 Turtle Creek in Dallas. Next he was a featured vocalist, five days a week, during the eight months the Wayne Mack Show aired on WFAA-TV. Bill was a guest artist during a national tour with Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians ending in the Congo Room of The Sahara in Vegas.

His nightclub appearances included The Adolphus Century Room, NYC'S Copacabana, Boston's Bradford Roof, Miami Beach Americana and the Circus-Circus' Hippodrome Theatre in Vegas.

Combining acting with singing he appeared in "Brigadoon" as Charley Dalrymple and Lun Tha hi "The King and I" at the New York City Center. He also portrayed the role of Tony hi "Westside Story at the Pittsburgh Playhouse.

Bill's career spanned three decades. He loves to sing and continues to share his talent with his church choir and at many other events.
