Bobbie Lane

Bobbie started singing on radio at 7 years old and sang on television, radio, dance bands, stage performances, churches, etc. until 21 years old. She sang an average of 5 to 7 nights or days per week.

At 21 years of age, Bobbie stopped and raised her children and did television and radio commercials for worthy causes such as a deaf school, alcoholism, orphans, etc. in a 5 state area.

Bobbie went back to the stage in her mid-30s to take the leads 2 years in “Can Can” and “Sweet Charity” for Lyric Theatre in Oklahoma City.

She then went back to finish raising her children and continue her television and radio work to help worthy causes in a 5 state area.

Bobbie also did national Ford Motor Co. and Maryland Club Coffee commercials.

She has won numerous awards and honors such as the national Columbia Record Contest, Miss Maryland Club Coffee, several school yearbook and other school queens prior to 21 years of age. In her later years she was chosen the Oklahoma Mother of the Year in 1998, and many others.

Bobbie received a B.A. with a triple major in voice, Radio & Television, and Drama.

Bobbie studied with world famous teacher of the stars, including Marlon Brando, Marilyn Monroe and countess others, Lee Strasberg.

She also studied with, again, world famous Madame Eva Turner (one of only 2 women in the world in the ‘50s to hold a seat in the Royal Academy of London).

Bobbie studied piano 14 years with nationally renowned Herbert Ricker and was chosen to play for A. Rubinstein as a teenager.

She was a member of the Screen Actors Guild until a few years ago, when she thought she was retiring.
