Melinda Austin

Melinda’s first professional performance was in the 1960 Breck Wall/Joe Peterson production of “Mr. Wonderful” in Dallas’ old Maple Theater. She later performed as dancer and singer in the Campus Review at 6 Flags Over Texas and spent 12 years as soloist and dancer in the Dallas Junior League Follies.

 

Represented by the Mary Collins Agency from 1983-1999, she made over 100 on-camera and voice-over commercials and industrial films and was an Addy Award winner. She worked with Karen Allen and Barry Bostwick playing astronaut wife, June Scobee, in ABC Movie of the Week, “Challenger”.

 

She dedicates her first on- stage performance in 25 years to her 5 fabulous grandchildren: Luke, Caroline, Catherine, Isabel and Gracie Blaylock.
