Class Act Tap Company

The Class Act Tap Company was founded in 1986 and is a service organization of 36 women who serve North Texas as volunteers by giving tap dancing shows free-of-charge, having given over 1,750 shows in the past 23 years.

They perform at conventions, at private and civic events, for organizational and corporate events, and at many “senior” events including nursing and retirement homes and senior centers.

They now give over 160 shows a year, having performed in a theater in Branson, MO and at the Gene Autry Museum in Oklahoma.

The two unique things about Class Act are number one, they have never charged for a single show, and number two, their ages. The minimum age to be a member is 50. The oldest member is 83 and the average age of the 40 members is 64.
