Mark Carroll's Follies

For years, Dallas piano man Mark Carroll drew the crowds at the Mansion with his trio. He even wrote the trademark tune "Meet Me at the Mansion."

Now he's living his dream of staging Ziegfeld-like follies. "A magnificent set, elaborate costumes and great music," he says.

There's one catch. "You have to be 55 years old or over to be onstage," he says.

Call it Catch-55.

Mark will stage the Dallas Senior Follies with Ned Startzel as executive producer, Aaron Patrick Turner as costume designer, and Randel Wright as set designer..

"Auditions were held at the Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. "Many ex Junior Leaguers and several of my favorite society women have offered to be showgirls."
