Barbara Frank

Barbara has been with Class Act since 1997 and has loved every minute of sharing the joy of dance and music.

Biography

Barbara is a Dallas native and graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1964. She attended East Texas State University until she got her Mrs with Bill Frank in 1967. She was a legal secretary with Sun Oil Company until she gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Stacie, in 1970. Stacie was followed by her darling brother, David, in 1973, and their family was complete!

Barbara has been in Richardson since 1972. She was lucky to be a stay-at-home mom and was a busy volunteer for her kids' schools and for Dallas Junior Forum. She worked off and on (mostly off) for a few companies through the years. She retired in December 2015 after 14 1/2 years as Executive Director for Promotional Products Association Southwest and is now thrilled to tap more often with Class Act Tap Company!! She has performed with them since April 1997 and has loved every moment they have shared the joy of dance and music with others. There is nothing better than the happiness they see on their audience members' faces - especially those in nursing homes who thank the ladies for being there. It is so heartwarming! And what woman doesn't like wearing fishnets and sequins???

Barbara loved the 4 years of drill team in junior high and high school and then studied tap and jazz as an adult with Texie Waterman. It was ten years later when she heard about Class Act, and she jumped at the chance to join this fantastic group of women. They have volunteered for almost 3,000 performances, and one highlight was a road trip to Branson where they performed in 2007. "We had a ball!!" Some of them got to do the twist on stage with Fabian!!

Barbara loves being with family and friends, traveling, dancing, playing games, decorating for Christmas and going to see musicals. She is blessed with very special friends and the two best children ever!! (Stacie is her #1 Follies fan, and cheers louder than anyone in the audience!) Being in the Follies is the biggest thrill of her year, and she loves every minute of rehearsals and performing in the shows. She thanks Michael and Dee Anne for this FUN opportunity!
