What to do in Dallas in September?
See the Spectacular Senior Follies at Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts
The annual Dallas Senior Follies show stars some of Texas' greatest senior talents of stage, screen, television and radio. Founded by Mark Carroll & Ned Startzel, the event is a project of the Spectacular Senior Follies.
With a nod to the "Ziegfeld Follies", the annual Dallas Senior Follies is created both to revitalize Texas' senior citizens and raise funds and public awareness for the needs of North Texas. According to my fine colleague Pete Snider, the Dallas Senior Follies is partnering with the Gallagher Financial Group, Inc. for the sixth year in a row.
Director/Choreographer Michael Serrecchia and Artistic-Director/Creator Dee Anne Meece have teamed together on the program that features fabulous songs, lavish scenes and sumptuous costumes, including a performance of the fabulous "Ziegfield Follies" style, Dallas Showgirls. All cast members are required to be at least 55 years old, with the oldest member being 87 this year.
