Donna Bohannon

Excited to be in the Senior Follies. In 73 preceding years, I have been involved with numerous dance activities.

Started dancing at 9 years of age at the Peggy Douglas Dance Studio. At age 12 taught dance at the studio and performed with the Peggy Douglas Dance Troup, dancing in USO shows, Dallas area movie theater talent shows, which we won.

I was involved with the Cotteral Modern Dance Troup at North Texas Univ. After graduation, I taught girls physical education and as Director organized and choreographed the Thomas Jefferson High Reb Belles Drill Team. In 1960 the team won the first Dallas high school city wide drill team competition. Joined the Class Act Tap Company in 1998. Attended Dallas Dance Council Workshops, classes with Fred Kelly, Robert Reed and others. Attended Robert Reed Festival in St. Louis and participated in workshops with Savion Glover, Faynard Nicholas, Dee Walker and Debbie Dee Other Workshops with Acia Gray, Brenda Bufalino, Lane Alexander. Dream fulfilled dancing a duo time step with Donald O'Connor at the Festival Cast Party. On a cruise I danced in the passenger talent show. It was a challenge since the ship was rocking and rolling. Many thanks to the dancing family. In my career I taught, worked at the Dallas Market Center and in Marketing at J.C. Penney. I'm thankful for the wonderful support from my family and 17 years with Class Act Tap Group.
