Estelle Florey Carter

Estelle Florey Carter grew up in Longview, Tx and attended Kilgore College where she served two years as Captain of the renowned Kilgore Rangerettes.


After graduating from Kilgore Jr. College, she attended North Texas and graduated with honors from Stephen F. Austin with a BA in Mathematics in 1957

Her career positions include teaching Algebra, directing a drill team, modeling, wholesale and retail clothing customer service and high-rise property management.

Estelle has one son, Dirk Braden Carter, who resides in Dallas.

Since 1986, Estelle has served as founding co-director and choreographer for Class Act Tap Company, a volunteer service entertainment group. Estelle studies music at Brookhaven College with Dr. Sue Cruse and Freddie Jones. Participation in three performance groups directed by Carol Brandon adds to her volunteer hours.

With experience of appearing in over 20 theater productions as a singer/dancer/actor, she is proud to have appeared in the Follies since its inception as a singer, dancer and showgirl. There is life after retirement!!
