Bill Geyer

Music Director/Trombonist/Conductor

Although a native Texan born in Corpus Christi, TX, Mr. Geyer is a former resident of Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas, NV where he performed as a professional musician/conductor.


He grew up in a circus family where he had the opportunity to perform with various circus bands after he learned how to play trombone in school, while traveling the country with his father, who was a high pole aerialist performer. His background includes stints with the Harry James, Orrin Tucker, and Don Ellis Orchestras, as well as such shows as My Fair Lady, Can-Can, Stop the World, Gypsy, Lenny (Original L.A. Stage production), Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, and many others. He was conductor/leader of one of the Las Vegas Strip Relief Orchestras, is artistic director/trombonist of "Classical Brass, ETC." brass quintet. In addition, William has performed with numerous symphony orchestras, dance bands and Broadway show orchestras around the U.S.A.

His orchestras have accompanied such personalities as Bob Hope, Frankie Valle, Jose Feliciano, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Conway Twitty, Paul Williams, Anne Murray, Connie Stevens, Lola Falana and many others too numerous to list. Mr. Geyer's educational background includes a Bachelor of Music degree in instrumental performance from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX and a Master of Music Education degree with a minor in trombone from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. Mr. Geyer is very serious about music education and therapy for everyone and especially about keeping the big band, dance music alive.

He is a retired school music teacher, music director and has conducted local Dallas, Texas musical ensembles including his own Big Band, Town North Concert Band, Garland Summer Musicals Orchestra, and Upswing Orchestra in Carrollton, Tx. which participated in the Spectacular Senior Follies "2014", "2015", "2016", and will be participating again in the "2017" Spectacular Senior Follies. He and his wife reside in Norht Dallas, Texas and are excited about participating in the Broadway Spectacular Senior Follies this year!
