Patricia Madden Housel
Wow! It's been 10+ years since Pat began performing in the Spectacular Senior Follies.
That first year Pat performed as a member of the Dallas Tap Dazzlers. Year two, Pat joined the ensemble and in that role has been singing and dancing across the many Follies stages ever since. What joy! Pat is proud to say she has been a Follies cast member since the very beginning.
Pat was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa where she began dancing at the age of 3. That 1st of many dance classes was the beginning of a lifelong passion for dance. After college and once the kids were grown Pat went back into the dance studio and in 1997 she joined the Dallas Tap Dazzlers,www.dallastapdazzlers.org an award-winning senior women's dance company. With the Dazzlers, Pat has done many fun and exciting things including performing all over Texas including dancing in the rotunda of the State Capital, and in San Antonio's Fiesta Flambo. Additionally there have been performances in Louisiana, Nebraska, New Jersey and Nevada. Probably the high point of Pat's Dazzler career was dancing down New York City's Broadway in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2000. She can now honestly say she has danced on Broadway and it comes complete with speed bumps and pot holes.
Crowned Ms. Texas Senior America 2006, www.mstexassenioramerica.org , Pat now performs with the Ms. Texas Sr. America Cameo Club.
This year Pat and her husband, Allen, are celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary. They have 2 grown children, Patty & John, and 2 handsome and brilliant grandsons, Matthew and Jason. Pat is a proud Texan, proud to be a part of the Senior Follies, and proud to be Ms. Texas Senior America 2006.
