Rick Tett

I am thrilled to be back for this years senior Follies. I really enjoyed being in last years Senior Follies which highlighted so many wonderful Broadway tunes.

My favorite part was "Singing in the Rain" which I sang as a lead-in for the incredible tap dancing of the youthful Jackie Troupe Miller. I am in my element in the fabulous '50's - where I can take my voice to new highs and lows.

I'm originally from McCallsburg (pop. 300) in central Iowa and sang with the Iowa State Singers and Chamber Singers while earning my B.S. in Computer Science. While in school, I was a singing waiter (along with Follies member, Jill Brooks) at the "Top of the Tower" in Des Moines. I sang with "Festival Singers of Minneapolis" while living in Minnesota. While in Austin, where I sang in the choir at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. In Plano, I have sung with the Plano Civic Chorus, St. Andrew UMC Choir and Voices a Capella. I've performed in two musicals at Frisco Community Theatre - Jinx in "Forever Plaid" and Amos in "The Fantasticks".

I thank my wife, Abby, for her support over the years as I signed up for spending evenings and weekends in musical endeavors. (Not to mention some pretty long hours working for startups). Of course my greatest joy (since having my own 3 children) is that my two sons and their wives have been blessed us with granddaughters this year. They are beautiful and I look forward to singing lullabies and '50's songs to them as they grow.
