Carol Wertheimer

Carol is a native of Chicago, Illinois where she was introduced to tap dancing as a preteen. Though her experience was short, her love of tap remained.

She hung up her tap shoes, married, became a teacher, and then a stay at home mom. During that time she did many freelance job. One of her favorites was working as an extra for T.V. (Dallas, original) and movie (Ozwald) productions. One of her most rewarding volunteer jobs was working at Equest, a therapeutic riding program and learning to ride a horse.

She was honored to be featured in the Dallas Morning News article, High on Life, what older athletes can teach us about keeping active and healthy.
She honed her performing skills as a member of the Contemporary Chorale and the Rich Tone barbershop chorus.

Carol has been a proud member of the Dallas Tap Dazzlers for 4 years. Being a Dazzler has been a gift and has given me purpose and an opportunity to share my love of dance.

She has been married to her college sweetheart for 52 years and is the proud mother of 3 wonderful daughters and son-in-laws, and the blessed grandmother of 9 brilliant and beautiful grandchildren.

Carol is very excited to be a part of the Senior Follies this year dancing with the amazing Dallas Tap Dazzlers and appearing as a Follies Showgirl. She is so pleased to share the stage with this talented and esteemed group of seniors.
